WORLD READ ALOUD DAY
THE FIRST WEDNESDAY IN MARCH
Take some time today to read for yourself or with friends or with your children. Take your children to the library and apply for their own Library Card. Ask the librarian for a recommended list for whatever interests you. Send a book to a friend. Start a Read Aloud At Home Time everyday.
“The first Wednesday in March (today!) is World Read Aloud Day. Started in 2010 by LitWorld, a nonprofit organization that promotes literacy worldwide, World Read Aloud Day is meant to demonstrate the importance of reading and sharing stories.”
